St. Anne's CE Primary School was founded in 1837 in the lovely Victorian school building next to our school, which until January 2004 was still used as our hall.
The school is now housed in attractive modern buildings comprising 14 classrooms, an ICT suite, food technology area, group rooms, reception area, kitchen, hall and offices.
Extensive building work completed in January 2004 gave us a wonderful new hall, 4 classrooms and a kitchen where our meals are cooked.
The hall has an acoustic movable wall giving us the flexibility for two halls or a very large one for performances, concerts etc.
We also have extensive grounds including a netball court, hard playgrounds and a very large field with conservation area, pond and an open air heated swimming pool.
We are continuing to develop areas, quiet area, more trees and areas for gardening as well as shade cover from gazebos. The children have chosen painted designs for the hard surface areas.
Our Early Years area has its own external area with playhouse, bikes and play equipment. A canopy provides an extended dry area.
We also have an independent after-school club on school premises, led by a member of our school staff, which provides excellent care and fun activities for all children whose parents require after school supervision.
Our breakfast club meets from 7.45a.m. and parents are welcome to drop their children at 7.45a.m. or join their children for breakfast. We therefore provide excellent care for your children from 7.45a.m. to 5:45p.m. if you require it.
The After School Club had a highly successful Ofsted in September 2010 receiving a judgement of outstanding.
St. Anne's is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School, welcoming all children and promoting and encouraging Christian values. We are part of South Gloucestershire Education Authority.
