At the start of the school year, the Year 6 classes undertook a project where they had to design and built a theme park on the moon. The children worked in collaborative groups to design and build their own particular area of the theme park, each part of which had a different country as a theme. The children earned 'moon money' for completion of different tasks which they could spend in the theme park at the end of the week. The children had to completely cost out their theme park, land their workers safely on the moon in landing craft and devise an advertising campaign to promote the park.
