++++++"YEAR 6 trip. Wednesday night's message, 'Another lovely sunny day at Heatree. Today we enjoyed a visit from Mr Quinn who came down to spend some time with us'. ++++++

Our kitchen offers a choice of hot food to the children at lunchtime and menus are sent to all parents.  Most of the fresh food is produced locally and South Gloucestershire has a fair trade policy.  New menus are produced termly which encourage children to eat healthily.

We take every opportunity to promote healthy eating and offer fruit tuck 15p and toast 10p daily for all children as well as encouraging children to bring their own fruit for break in KS2.

In KS1 the children have a ‘milk and fruit’ time when all the children enjoy fruit provided free by a government scheme.  This has really encouraged the children to eat more fruit.

We all know how what we eat and drink helps us learn and encourage all children to have a healthy diet and water bottle (sold at school) to enable them to have frequent drinks of water.  Research shows this helps children to concentrate and achieve their best.

All children enjoy lunch together in our hall
